The 2008 edition of the Festival VidéEau invited young people from all over the world aged between 17 and 30 to submit a 90 second or shorter video clip on the theme: "Water, People and Sustainable Development".
The winners of the Festival VidéEau have automatically been selected for the official competition of the International «Water and Film» events, which took place in Istanbul, in March 2009, in the context of the 5th World Water Forum.
The International Jury
The jury members were:
- Berenice Alcalde, UNESCO youth program coordinator in America and Asia.
- Sibi Bonfils, deputy director of the Institut de l’énergie et de l’environnement de la Francophonie (IEPF).
- Martine Chartrand, animated film director.
- Oscar Karam, winner of the 2007 VidéEau Festival
