The 2007 edition was opened to young people from Quebec aged from 16 to 25. The participants had to produce a 2 minute or shorter video clip on the theme: "Water that surrounds us and is source of life".

The winners of the Festival VidéEau have automatically been selected for the official competition of the International «Water and Film» events, which took place in Istanbul, in March 2009, in the context of the 5th World Water Forum

The Jury

The Jury members were:
- André Pâquet (president), film programmer of Montreal’s International Documentary Film Festival (RIDM) and president of the jury for the International Water and Film event held in Mexico, in 2006.
- Thomas Lalonde, actor
- Roger Lanoue, president of the ISW
- Marie-Claude Leclerc, general director of Quebec’s regroupement of watershed organizations (ROBVQ).
