The "Local Economy Sets Sail" Exhibition, inaugurated in the Biosphere during the week of A Celebration of Lakes and Rivers 2007, presents models of the traditional crafts used around the world by river-side populations in their daily activities. They were built by local crafts people of Quebec, Brazil, Colombia, Egypt, Mexico, Niger, Peru and Haiti.
