On May 31st, 2009, 11 youths from Québec, Mexico, France and Belgium were brought together for a day in order to prepare for the International Forum on Integrated Water Management.  The goal was to ensure, with the help of water experts from Québec and Africa, active participation of the youths during the Forum and to highlight their presence.  Furthermore, they were given the opportunity to associate with other like minded youths in order to express a common message and have the chance to be heard by participants from all around the world. Four youths who had participated in the 2008 edition of Celebration of Lakes and Rivers traveled to Sherbrooke to present to other participants the actions that they had performed at home for the project.
