PRESENTATION OF GROUP WORK

Each group presented the results of their studies on the situation of the water courses in their area. Representatives presented the discussion and debates held over the past year and the action plan that had been developed. It was the perfect time to talk about the highs and lows of implementing projects or to describe the plan for putting the chosen activities into action.
THE DRAGON BOATS

An activity involving Dragon Boats in the olympic basin of Saint Helen's Island was organised. This sporting activity helped to strengthen relations among all the participants and to create an energising festive atmosphere.
CONFERENCES
ANDRÉ FRANCHE
International Cooperation – Les Ailes de l’espérance
Through his experience within Les Ailes de l’espérance (The Wings of Hope), Mr. Franche encouraged young people to support initiatives and efforts for development among impoverished populations in Latin America. In light of his experience, Mr France is convinced that it is possible to contribute to improving the precarious conditions of people living in of developing countries.
SERGE LEPAGE
Water Stakes – The Canadian Environment Biosphere
With his wealth of professional experience, Mr. Lepage presented an overview of global water issues. Without clean water, no human being can hope to live a healthy life and no society can develop properly. Since the industrial revolution, rich societies have been over-exploiting the planet's natural and biological resources, polluting the air, water and soil and are taking too long to take action to remedy the situation. Today still in the realms of science fiction, a water war could become reality in just a few decades time. For young people, one of the main challenges to be faced during the 21st Century will indeed be that of water.
JÉRÔME NORMAND
Youth Involvement- ENvironnement JEUnesse (ENJEU)
ENJEU has more than proven its expertise. Mr. Normand was able to motivate participants regarding the development of an environmental conscience and critical thinking so they could suggest actions for citizens to take to ensure a viable future. ENJEU encourages and helps young people to set up projects and get involved in environmental issues.
WORKSHOPS

Divided into three groups, each with a facilitator, the young people participated in discussions on three themes, covered during mini-conferences. The main objective was to develop questions to be discussed with three MPs of the National Assembly.
